Simo Järvelä

 

Simo Järvelä (BBA, MA) is cognitive scientist currently finalizing his doctoral thesis on physiological synchrony and affective protosocial dynamics. His main interests are experiences – how they are designed, measured, created, and experienced. Over the past decade his research work has included a vast selection of different topics from emotions to digital games, from meditation to economic decision-making, and from political moral to cognitive processes of immersive arts. His current project GAMEMORG focuses on simulation training of emotional skills and how to augment them using affective design, biofeedback, and gamification.
