Dr. Benedikt Morschheuser is an associated, postdoctoral researcher at the Gamification Group. He is an Assistant Professor on Gamification and Information Systems at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen Nürnberg and holds a PhD on business informatics from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.
Dr. Morschheuser’s research focuses on the use of gamification in technology, business and everyday life. He is the author of various scientific publications on the effects of gamification and the designs of gamified information systems which has been published in various international journals, such as the International Journal of Human-Computer Studies, the Journal Computers in Human Behavior or the Journal Information and Software Technology.
His entire academic career has been conducted in close collaboration with the industry. He invented and designed several gamified approaches for Daimler AG, Robert Bosch GmbH and the Swiss finance industry and has been working as an associated researcher with research groups at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Leipzig University, the University of Mannheim, the University of St. Gallen and the Tampere University of Technology.
