Carlos Álvarez Barroso is a predoctoral researcher at the University of Tampere and at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos through a co-tutelle agreement. With a Master’s degree in Communication and Culture, Carlos collaborates in the research group Ciberimaginario thanks to a pre-doctoral research staff contract. He is an active member of the Scientific Association Icono14 collaborating as a technical editor of communication. His thesis is oriented to the use of videoludic experiences to raise awareness about climate resilience in coastal environments.His research work is linked to game studies, positioning himself from procedural rhetoric and semiotics for the development of persuasive ludonarratives.
