JURRI organises a beginners’ judo course in Spring 2023!
Judo is a fun and diverse sport which many have found a lifelong hobby in. Judo has something for everyone all the way from a complete beginner in exercising to Olympic athletes.
The course will take place in Hervanta campus on the tatami mat in Bommari. The training sessions are on Mondays and Wednesdays from 18:00 to 19:30.
As a special offer the course costs only JURRI’s membership fee (5 €)! On top of that you only need to have paid the SportUni fee for this Spring. Obviously at some point the proper attire aka. judo gi is required. Additionally, if you want to take part in belt graduation and get the yellow belt at the end of Spring, you need to have purchased the official practitioners’ licence (110 €). The licence also includes accident insurance.
The first session is on Monday 23rd but by all means do join us at a later date even if you can’t make it then. To attend your first session you’ll need a t-shirt, sweatpants and a water bottle. Bringing a friend with you is also more than recommended! You can find instructions to find your way to Bommari tatami below.
Note! In case you don’t have access rights to Hervanta campus at this moment, pay a visit to Tamppi Arena and update them before joining the session. You need them to access the tatami room.
Start an amazing new hobby with fellow students! See you on the tatami!
