Restructuring the Comprehensive Quality Meta-Model

Auvo Finne
Abstract

The paper addresses the criticism of the comprehensive quality meta-model, presented in previous writings by the same author, being too complex. It also discusses the context sub-model. The modifications made to the meta-model in this paper are based partly on conceptual analysis partly on findings during a fourth case study. As a result the meta-model is split into two separate models, one dealing with overall system quality and the other one with individual requirements. LACASA context modelling tool is found as a good candidate for creating a context sub-model. After the modifications the meta-model is more rigorous and easier to grasp.
