The goal of the YHTÄ project is to create a playbook that allows software developers to build services utilizing data produced by the City of Tampere’s ecosystem. The YHTÄ playbook will provide practical technical documentation to help developers access and analyze this data. It will also include real-world examples, particularly related to data concerning pedestrian safety in the city and insights gained from its analysis. The playbook will be tested through two scenarios focusing on “safe city for pedestrians,” with special consideration given to people with mobility limitations. Based on the testing outcomes, a functional version of the YHTÄ playbook will be developed.
The project will establish a robust and tested method for implementing a cross-cutting data analysis pipeline in the urban community context. The playbook will include clear instructions and technical guidelines on how to access, manage, and use data from the city’s ecosystem. The focus will also be on data management, advanced processing, and AI techniques, considering the perspectives of individual city residents, solution providers, and city authorities.
The YHTÄ playbook will be publicly available online, enabling anyone to use the guidelines and examples to develop new AI applications that enhance urban living for citizens. The project is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) for 2021-2027.
