Videos and Demos

Video 1

Demo created for positioning-based beamforming with 16-element Uniform Linear Array (ULA) antennas at the access nodes/base stations side and omnidirectional antennas at the UE/mobile side. The left-hand plot shows a configuration with 3 Access Nodes and 3 UEs (one UE as the desired UE and the other two UEs as interferers, all following a random waypoint model) and the right-hand plot shows the cumulative distribution functions (CDF) of the Signal-plus-Interference to Noise Ratios (SINR) at each Access Node (uplink connectivity). The outage probability is also shown in the title. It is to be noticed that increasing the number of antenna elements (e.g., to 32, 64, etc.) will decrease significantly the outage probabilities.

Video 2

EKFs-based tracking in indoor environment at TAU. Uplink (UL) sounding signal is transmitted by the robot/User Equipment (UE) @ mmWave band (39 GHz with 100 MHz bandwidth). ToA, TDoA and AoA measurements are utilized individually and collectively for positioning. The ellipses represent the corresponding a posterior of the location estimates by EKF that obtained based on different measurements. Additionally, the network synchronization is assumed where a random walk clock offset is generated and added on top of the ToA measurements.
