How to get to Tampere?

Tampere Convention Bureau's Visitors guide includes practical information for conference guests visiting Tampere.

Air Baltic, Blue1, Finnair, SAS and Ryanair have direct flights to Tampere from many European destinations. Please, try to book your flights all the way to Tampere. The main hub in Finland is Helsinki, which is 175 km and by air only 30 minutes away from Tampere.

How to Reach Tampere from Helsinki Airport?

If possible, book your flights all the way to Tampere. If not possible, then the most convenient and fastest way to travel from Helsinki airport to Tampere is to use the Paunu Express Bus, which leaves in front of the Helsinki-Vantaa Airport arrivals terminal every hour (bus stop 1C). The journey takes about two hours and costs about 25 €. For the train, there is a connection by bus to Tikkurila train station from where trains to Tampere leave regularly at every hour. The journey takes about two hours.

How to Reach Tampere from Tampere-Pirkkala Airport?

Tampere-Pirkkala airport is situated 15 km from Tampere city centre. The easiest and fastest way to Tampere city centre is to take taxi. The price range is about 35-45 € depending on the weekday or hour of the day. It is also possible to join an Airport taxi, which will take travellers to all hotels in the city centre of Tampere. The one-way fare is 15 €. Buses from the airport run very seldom. If you arrive in Tampere by Ryanair, you can ask the terminal info desk for details about the bus shuttle.
