The Bioengineering and Nanomedicine group at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Technology, Tampere University was established in 2016 and aims to harness the bioactivity of extracellular matrix-based polymers to design 3D scaffolds and nanoparticles for biomedical use. The group is founded upon cutting-edge multi-disciplinary research in the areas of polymer chemistry, soft materials, tissue engineering, drug delivery, gene delivery, nanomedicine, and cell engineering.
