Dr.Mila Buji\u0107<\/strong> is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Tampere University (Finland). With a background in anthropology, game studies, and humans and technologies (games and gamification), her interests focus on the enmeshment of humans and digital technologies and its impact on individuals and broader societies. How do our perceptions and understanding of self and others change in these new technological environments and how can these changes be reflected in our collective daily practices? Her work entails laboratory experiments, surveys, online ethnographies, meta-analyses, and futures research methods.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Apart from publishing in top-tier venues such as Internet Research, International Journal of Human-Computer Studies, and Interacting with Computers, Buji\u0107 is widely involved in international academic communities including chairing positions for conferences such as Academic Mindtrek, GamiFIN, and Interactive media experiences (IMX) as well as extensive reviewing for prestigious venues in the field (e.g, New media and society, Internet research, CHI, CHIPlay). Her work has received recognition in various aspects (Academic Mindtrek \u2013 Best paper award; CHI \u2013 outstanding review; Internet research \u2013 publication highlighted as the sample paper of the journal).<\/p>\n
