Simo J\u00e4rvel\u00e4 (PhD)<\/strong> is a cognitive scientist studying the human embodied extended cognition. His particular interest is affective processing and other traditionally non-rational aspects of the human cognition and their effects in the context of gameful-information-systems-as-tools.<\/p>\n

Over the past decade his research work has included a vast selection of different topics from emotions to digital games, from meditation to economic decision-making, and from political moral to cognitive processes of immersive arts. He has a vast experience in cross-disciplinary projects, experimental research, and the use of psychophysiological measures.
